Free Motion Quilting: Ripples

I'm "drawn" :) to texture-rich quilting and this free motion quilting design is no exception. It's a fast and easy way to make your quilt top really special. It has a modern look and it works especially well to unify areas of a quilt top. For a recent quilt (the cover image for this video) all of my blocks used different scrappy fabrics. To unify the top and not draw attention to any one area of the quilt, I chose this design as an allover motif. 

The ripples design would also look really great as a background filler and/or behind appliqué shapes. The scale can be made smaller or larger to accommodate your needs.
